Chris Bruno

I don't write reports about what you should build. I build it.

Infrastructure architect and AI systems builder. I design and ship production systems across the full stack: data pipelines, automation, AI orchestration, and edge infrastructure. Available for consulting, fractional, and contract work.

What I Build

Not prototypes. Production systems with proper testing, migrations, observability, and real operational burden.

Data Infrastructure

PostgreSQL with proper role hierarchy, 227 migrations, schema isolation for sensitive data, and query performance that matters (27,500x optimization on one pipeline alone).

AI Orchestration

Multi-agent systems with parallel dispatch, result contracts, and context budget management. Custom MCP proxy infrastructure with OAuth 2.1. Not "uses ChatGPT."

Automation Pipelines

76 automated workflows across email, calendar, health, voice, and system monitoring. 446K messages processed across 6 platforms.

Edge Infrastructure

Cloudflare Workers at the edge, Caddy + Authelia for auth and SSO, 5-network Docker segmentation, encrypted offsite backups. Full vertical stack, every layer understood.

Voice Pipelines

Wake word to spoken response in under 2 seconds on local hardware. Local Whisper, custom TTS, satellite devices, Home Assistant integration.

Privacy-First Architecture

Three-tier data classification with real enforcement: database roles, schema isolation, separate processing paths. Not privacy theater.

How I Work

The methodology is as important as the output. These aren't principles on a slide deck. They're how the system was actually built.

01

Infrastructure as code, always

Every migration is numbered and tracked. Every config is versioned. No snowflake servers, no undocumented changes. If it's not in git, it doesn't exist.

02

AI as a force multiplier, not a crutch

Built a Director Model for multi-agent orchestration: parallel dispatch, result contracts, context budget management. Understands the tooling deeply enough to build infrastructure on top of it.

03

Test coverage that earns its keep

1,593 tests across API, web, auth, workers, and webhooks. Tests that catch real bugs, not tests that check whether functions return something.

The System

chris-os is a personal infrastructure monorepo that treats a digital life as an operating system. It's the primary portfolio piece: production infrastructure built and operated solo, demonstrating what one engineer with the right methodology can ship.

Compute

Raspberry Pi 5, AMD GPU node

Database

PostgreSQL, 5 roles, 227 migrations

Automation

n8n, 76 workflows

AI

MCP agents, Ollama, voice pipeline

Edge

Cloudflare Pages, Workers, R2

Auth

Caddy + Authelia SSO
